“Mer de glace” & Montenvers train

The “Mer de glace” is considered as the most beautiful glaciers in Europe and one of the most sumptuous of the Chamonix valley sites. You can get there by taking the funicular Montenvers train, which runs along the side of the Aiguilles de Chamonix to an altitude of 1913m. Upon arrival, you will have a spectacular view of the peaks.
